I'm going into my final year of IB. Okay so you know how in IB you can only take two sciences well I chose chemistry and biology. However, I want to study grade 11 and grade 12 physics by myself on my own time instead of going to night school or summer school to take Physics.
Do any of you recommend any good Physics textbook that has grade 11 and 12 concepts combined?
I'm going to see if they have any good materials at Chapters next week but I thought I'd post my question here to see if anyone has any recommendations.
As this is your third science, I don't know if you are looking to get an idea of the topics or actually study them in depth. If you're just looking for a basic understanding, there are some good IB Physics Summary books around (The Oxford IB Study Guide by Tim Kirk is useful, although it doesn't have many practice questions or go into a great deal of depth). On the other hand, if you're looking to study Physics in depth, you'll need a proper text book. As I study in Australia, I only have the australian text (which isn't especially useful), but there are others around which I hear are good.
hope that was helpful, and I wish you all the best of luck in your insane persuit to master 3 sciences, you are clearly much more capable than I!
